A Hey English Dance on Monday, March 21

Dear Dancers,

Come join us for a Hey Dance!!!   This Monday night we will be focusing on dances with heys!  We've all done Hey's for 4, but we will also be doing a hey for 3, a hey for 6, a circular hey, a mirror hey, a dolphin hey.   How can there be so many different types of heys?  A hey is passing alternate shoulders so you could do it with any number of people in any shape.

English dances are written for specific tunes and everyone has their favorites usually because of the wonderful dance moves along with the music. All dances are taught, walked through, and called. No partner is necessary. No specific clothing or shoes is needed--just something you can move comfortably in. We have a lesson at 6:45, but if you can't make it then, don't hesitate--you will learn what you need with the teaching and your partner. English dancing is easy on your feet; you move on your own volition--so those who get dizzy or have shoulder issues should be comfortable. Most connections are made with you eyes and you mirror your partner's moves.

We have live music every Monday and this dance is a bargain at only $5!!! But we have an extra basket where we ask for donations, if you can, for the musicians who work so hard. They practice the music each week before the dances.
