Gainesville Ocala Swing and Social Dance Newsletter – July 25, 2012
Hello Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,
Swing, Hustle and Tango practice tonight from 8 to 10 pm at 308 West, one in each room, go back and forth. Only $5, $4 students, free for All U Can Dance members.
Friday night UF Tango is back in session at 308 West at 8 pm. Stay afterwards for a Salsa and Latin Dance Social from 11 am to 2 pm.
International Folk Dancing also meets this Friday night.
Saturday night is the 4th Annual Larry G. Shaboz Memorial Summer Swing Dance at the Boltin Center from 8 to 11 pm. $15, $10 students, to benefit blood cancer charities. www.HotRodLarry.com
Also Saturday night is the 4th Saturday Ballroom Dance with Ray and Eileen at By Ear Musician and the Tango Pavadita Milonga at 308 West.
A new tradition starts with the first 5th Sunday Contra Dance this Sunday at the Boltin Center from 4 to 7 pm.
Sunday come out for Swing and Hustle at 308 West. Beginning Swing at 6, Swing++ at 7 and Hustle around 8:20. If you attend the Contra dance, come for half off, just $5 for Swing and Hustle.
Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 come to 308 West to learn Argentine Tango basics with Nick.
Next Tuesday 7/31, Richard is having an East Coast dance party at the Boltin Center from 6:45 until 9. Only $5.

Dancing includes:
- Sundays: Contra (5-6 pm), Swing 101 (6-7 pm), Experienced Swing (7-8:15 pm) and Hustle! (8:15-9:30 pm)
- Mondays: Israeli Circle (7-8:30 pm) and Partner Dances (8:30-9 pm)
- Tuesdays: Argentine Tango (6-7:30 pm)
- Thursdays: West Coast Swing (8-10 pm)
- Fridays: Argentine Tango with UF Tango Club (8-11 pm)
- Saturdays: Two Argentine Tango Milongas (costs extra)
Rates:
$35 for the whole month 5 days a week, or
$25 if you paid monthly for another group, or
$25 if you paid $35 or more in the prior month for other groups, or
$45 and include two Saturday night Tango milongas, or
$20 for students, with two Saturday night Tango milongas included
Sunday Night:
$10 general, $5 students
$7 general, $4 students if you paid elsewhere during prior 6 days
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
$5, $4 students, Free for students on Monday and Friday
Per Week:
$12 general, $7 students
