1. Santa Fe College Community Education Dance Classes
Santa Fe College Community Education dance classes begin today. This is a great opportunity for new dancers to start.
1. Argentine Tango 101 with Nick at 308 West, Oct 30, Tue 6 pm
2. Ballroom Basics for Couples with Eileen at GHS, Nov 8, Thu 7 pm
3. Salsa Dancing with Darren at UTC, Nov 1, Thu 8 pm
4. Senior Line Dancing with Andy at the Senior Center, Nov 1, Thu 11 am
5. Swing Dancing 101 with Andy at 308 West, Oct 28, Sun 6 pm

2. Updates to the Regular Dance Schedule
Today, Sunday at 308 West, is Sacred Groove from 4 to 6 pm. Swing 101 for new beginners is from 6 to 7 pm. Experienced Swing is at 7 pm. Hustle starts after 8:15 until 9:30. For the experienced Swing, we have been inserting a little bit of this for variety.

Monday at 308 West is both English Country Dancing and Israeli Dancing.
Tuesday at 308 West, Chad will DJ an evening of Ballroom Dancing for Ray and Eileen. Drop-ins welcome.
Tuesday at the Boltin Center, Richard holds an East Coast Halloween Dance.
Wednesday at 308 West for Judi's West Coast Swing will be an Introduction to Argentine Tango. This will only cost $5 and anyone can drop-in. The class will start at 7:30. Doors open at the usual time and you can practice West Coast Swing beforehand and maybe afterwards.
Thursday there will be Line Dancing either at the Senior Center or at 308 West. If you want to be informed, let me know.
Thursday night at 308 West, join Diane for Salsa or come for Swing, Hustle and Tango practice.
Friday at 308 West join Kay's Ballroom class and stay for UF Argentine Tango.
Next Saturday night is Josh's first of the month West Coast Swing dance.
Next Sunday is the monthly Contra dance.

3. Future Locations for Dancing
In December, we will be moving to other locations for dancing.
November is our last month at 308 West. We have found other locations for most of the groups, so no need to worry about the future. There will be plenty of dancing without missing a beat.
We are looking for a permanent, long term solution. Send me your thoughts, I would like to hear them.

4. November Parking at 308 West
The whole location at 308 West has been rented to ToneRite. The president and CEO Valerie Sheehan was on the front page of today's Gainesville Sun's Business section.
Currently there is some confusion about the parking.
Of course, we would not have considered renting 308 West without the parking. I have emails supporting that. Parking is not addressed in our lease one way or the other.
Valerie claims she controls the parking and we cannot park there. My opinion differs. Until we go in front of a judge, we will not know whose opinion will prevail.
We only have one month left and I would like a peaceful resolution.
However, ToneRite might make war and put a chain across the parking area. If you do come to 308 West and there is a chain, there still is dancing. You can park in the garage across University Avenue, which is free on Sundays, $5 otherwise. There is free street parking within two blocks.
If ToneRite does put up a chain, you can go to ToneRite's website (ToneRite.com) and let them know how you feel.

- Mondays: Israeli Circle (7 pm) and Partner Dances (8:30 pm)
- Tuesdays: Argentine Tango 101 (6-7:30 pm)
- Thursdays: Line Dancing dancing (11 am-noon)
- Thursdays: Open Swing and Hustle dancing (8-10 pm)
- Saturdays: Two Argentine Tango Milongas (costs extra)
- Open Times: any time the studio is open and one of the rooms is available

$25 if you paid monthly for another group, or
$20 for Tango only (Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday)
