English Country Dancing Do You Like "Whiskey Before Dinner"?

Not me (this is a Randy thing!)  But I love the dance (and I wanted to get your attention)!  So come and dance it with us on Monday! It's a very lively dance with wavy lines and a hey!
Watch it here:

And do you like the beautiful Larry Unger waltz "Judy and Jim's Wedding"? There is a lovely dance that goes with that tune, "Sunlight Through Draperies" which we will also be doing. The first time we did it was in the beautiful ballroom at Sebring for the Sharpe's Assembly and it brought tears to my eyes.  It was our first dance weekend. You had to have been there! The place, dancers, and music were so perfect!

And we'll be "Jumping at the Sun" again too!  Make sure you "Look Both Ways" first!

This is English Country Dancing in Gainesville which is lively and fun dancing to beautiful live music every Monday night. Everyone is welcome. No experience, special dress, or partner is necessary. Come join us for a wonderful evening of dancing.

Please come join us.  There is always live music by Hoggetowne Fancy.  No experience, partner, or special dress is necesssary.  If you are new or have only been once or twice, please come back.  New people have been doing fine by following along.  They always comment that everyone was so nice and understanding.  We've all been new and we understand.  The only requirement is to bring a smile and to have fun.

The Florida English Dance weekend is coming soon, in October.  Please sign up for an enjoyable weekend.  Since this is the only one in Florida it is important that the dance community support those who put so much work into creating such an event in our backyard.  It's also a bargain.  The price of $140 (if double room) includes 2 nights lodging in a beautiful historic inn, dancing Friday evening, Saturday morning, afternoon, and evening, and Sunday morning, 2 wonderful continental breakfasts (fresh Belgian waffles), and Saturday lunch.  You will dance to the beautiful music of Full Circle and be led by David Millstone, an experienced caller who will call traditional English dances, both old and new.  You get to dance in the beautiful ballroom!!
