Hello Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

 

Have changed the format of this newsletter somewhat to try to give you the information you need more efficiently, so you do not have to read so much. Will no longer include the details of all events. Will continue to include a summary of folk dance related events. For details for each event and for the complete dance schedule for the Gainesville and Ocala area, visit

This newsletter serves two purposes:
1. As a general newsletter for the folk dance community in the Gainesville and Ocala area.
2. As a specific newsletter for my folk dance programs.

 

Most of the folk dance groups have their own newsletters, which you should sign up for if you attend their functions.

 

In this top section, you will find information about my folk dance programs as well as things out of the ordinary about other programs.

 

Tonight, Monday, Israeli Dancing for beginners is from 7 to 8, followed by intermediate Israeli dancing until 8:30 and Israeli partner dancing until 9:00.

 

English Country Dancing is every Monday from 7 to 9:30.

 

English Country and Israeli Dancing are both at 308 West at the same time. If you come to English Country Dancers and you want to spend some time in Israeli Dancing, you are welcome to join us for free.

 

Next Sunday there is a Contra Dance at the Boltin Center at 4.

 

Also Next Sunday, July 1 our Contra Dancing 101 class continues from 5 to 6. Everyone is invited to attend, even if you missed the earlier sessions. After Contra 101, stay for Swing 101, Swing for people with more experience and then Hustle! One price for the whole night.

 

To let you dance as much as you want and to reward those that dance more, we have special ALL U CAN DANCE pricing for these programs.

 

- Sundays: Contra 101, Swing 101, experinced Swing, Hustle!
- Mondays: Israeli Folk Dancing
- Tuesdays: Argentine Tango 101
- Thursdays: West Coast Swing practice
- Fridays: Argentine Tango class and practice

 

Per Month:
$35 or
$25 if you paid monthly for another group, or
$25 if you paid $35 or more in the prior month for other groups, or
$45 and include two Saturday night Tango milongas, or
$20 for students, with two Saturday night Tango milongas included

 

Per Night:
$10 general, $5 students
$7 general, $4 students if you paid elsewhere during prior 6 days

 

Per Week:
$12 general, $7 students

 

Sometimes we need more men and sometimes we need more women. As of last week, we could use more men on Sunday Swing, Monday Israel and Saturday night Swing. We could use more women for Tango on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
