Swinging September on Thursday Nights

Hello Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,
 
Mark your calendars for September 8 for the start of Swinging September on Thursday nights. Come out for fun Swing dancing for all levels and all types of Swing with Andy, from 7 to 8:30 pm at Gainesville High School. This is a 6 week series offered via Santa Fe College Community Education. We may do a second series in Fall B, which would give us a chance to have fun doing all types of Swing dancing to a wide variety of music for the next three months. Session structure will revolve around lots of dance time, with instruction aimed at improving fundamentals, communication and musicality, so you can have more fun by expressing yourself with your partner to the music. You will be welcome to come early and help out or practice during Super Simple Swing from 6 to 7. No partner needed.
 
If you know anyone that wants to start dancing or you want a refresher, come to Super Simple Swing Dancing 101 with Andy starting Thursday September 8 from 6 to 7 pm at Gainesville High School. This is a beginning class for people who have never danced before. Goes super slow and is super easy. We do rotate, but rotating partners is not required. This class is designed for people who have been apprehensive about starting dancing. This class is also suitable for people who have taken a Swing dance class, but are still beginners. This class covers foundational skills you need for all your dancing. Many people take this class more than once.

UF Swing Club meets tonight in their new location in the Music Building room 121.
 
Ray and Eileen host a Ballroom dance Saturday night.
 
Richard teaches East Coast Swing on Tuesday.
 
UF Argentine Tango now meets on Wednesdays as does Judi's regular West Coast Swing class.
 
Thursday Bob Rogers is teaching Foxtrot and Ray and Eileen are teaching Argentine Tango.

2. New Round Dancing at the Senior Center on Mondays at noon. This is ballroom dancing with choreographed steps and a caller, growing in popularity around the world.

4. Super Simple Swing for novice dancers, on Thursdays at 6 pm
