Hello Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,
Israeli and English Country Dancing tonight at their regular times and places.
This Saturday night is the monthly Contra dance followed by Vintage Waltz Brunch on Sunday morning.
If you would like to improve your Waltz skills, Bob Rogers is teaching Social Ballroom Waltz and Foxtrot (which is kind of the same) for people with some dance experience on Tuesday nights at the Boltin Center from 7 to 9 pm. I went last Tuesday and can tell you this is an excellent class and you can learn a lot. If you wanted to learn the ballroom style of gliding around the floor, take the time to go out.
Three weeks left for Israeli Dancing 101, which you can still join on Thurdays from 6 to 7 pm at Gainesville High School, go in the main entrance and all the way to the right in the Teaching Auditorium. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education by calling 352-395-5193.
Senior Line Dancing is on Tuesday this week. The last two weeks after that Line dancing is back on Thursdays. Novices from 11:30 to 12:30. Intermediate from 12:30 to 1:30. At the Senior Center. Sign up via Santa Fe College Community Education by calling 352-395-5193.
We still need guest leaders on Thursdays for Super Simple Swing from 7 to 8:30 at Gainesville High School. Three more weeks.
There is a Valentine's Day Dance at the Boltin Center on Thursday with Richard and Bob from 7 to 9 pm, with Swing and Ballroom Dancing. $10
Swing and Sway has an Afternoon Dance this Friday at the Senior Center.
