Hello Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,
Today, Thursday, is the last of this series of Senior Line Dancing with Andy at the Senior Center. Beginners at 11:30 and intermediate at 12:30. We will start up again in April. You can sign up then thru SFC Community Ed.
Today, Thursday, is the last of this series Israeli Dancing 101 and Super Simple Swing 101 with Andy at Gainesville High School. Israeli at 6 pm and Swing at 7 pm. Swing 101ers can come early and join us for Israeli. Guest leaders join us for Swing 101 to help out. Thru main GHS entrance. All the way to the left.
In April, you can take Beginning West Coast Swing with Andy. You can sign up then thru SFC Community Ed. This 6-week series will be for those that have taken Super Simple Swing 101 or have some other dance experience.
Novice dancers or those that want more practice can take Super Simple Swing 101, which also returns in April.
I will be out of town for most of March, but there are 3 other Swing classes and 4 other Beginning classes available. They are:
1. Tuesdays East Coast Swing with Richard
2. Wednesdays West Coast Swing with Judi
3. Fridays Lindy Hop with UF Swing Club
4. Mondays Introduction to Argentine Tango with Andrea, 6-weeks, starts March 11
5. Tuesdays Beginning Ballroom with Bob Rogers
6. Tuesdays Beginning Ballroom with Ray and Eileen
7. Fridays Introduction to Ballroom Dancing with Kay Picart, 6-weeks, starts March 22. Also on Fridays, after this class, Kay will be teaching an Introduction to Lifts and Dips for dancers with some experience.
This Saturday night is a West Coast Swing Workshop with visiting guest instructor Demery Strickland followed by a dance with Josh Angel.
Sunday is the monthly afternoon Swing and Sway Tea Dance at the Senior Center and the Contra Dance at the Boltin Center.
See the dance calendar for the schedule for next week, which has some changes, such as Richard's East Coast Swing is moving back to Monday, Bob Rogers beginning Ballroom Dancing is on Tuesday and intermediate on Thursday, and Ray and Eileen are teaching Country Two Step on Thursday.
