Israeli Dancing at B'nai on Monday, Cajun Waltz Brunch

Hello Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

Much thanks to those that came to Hillel last Monday to celebrate Yom Hatzmaot with Israeli and Klezmer dancing. A big thank you to the Klezmer Katz for their excellent music and to Jack and Linda Seltzer, whom you can join at International Folk Dancing on Friday nights.

This Sunday is the monthly Vintage Waltz Brunch Cajun Style at 308 West.

Monday, May 16, Israeli Dancing is back at B'nai Israel at 7 pm.

If you know anyone that would like to start dancing, we have two upcoming series designed specifically for new dancers, starting in June, offered through Santa Fe College Community Education.

Both these courses are for people with no dance experience, who may have a fear of dancing. These courses are designed to help anyone, specifically those that think they are rhythmically challenged, feel comfortable and be confident dancing. These courses are super easy and go super slow. No dancer will be left behind. For anyone that finds these classes too easy, they can move up to our regular dance classes.

1. Beginner Israeli Folk Dance 4-Week Series, starting June 6, on Monday nights from 7 to 8 pm, at B'nai Israel.

2. Social Dancing for People with Two Left Feet, 3-Week Series starting June 5, on Sunday nights from 6 to 7 pm, at 308 West University Ave.

Last two Sundays for free Clogging lessons. Take advantage of this opportunity.

Happy Dancing,

Andy

Quotes:

- When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. ~ Moliere
