English Tonight, March 26

Dear Dancers,

Sorry this is late. Just back from a wonderful Nashville Playford Ball weekend! Wow!! The caller was Joanna Reiner, and the band, Bare Necessities. Both the best! Joanna will also be the caller at the upcoming Atlanta Fandango weekend, September 14 - 16. Make plans now for a wonderful weekend which isn't very far away.

~~ Special Event in Gainesville~~
Don't forget about the Gainesville Dance Festival, this coming weekend. We will be doing a 2 hour English session on Saturday, March 31, same place, from 2 to 4 pm. This will kick off the Saturday session of the Gainesville Dance Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring friends to introduce them to English Country Dance. Then stay to waltz. Each dance session all weekend will begin with a lesson. What a good opportunity to try the various types of dancing offered at this Gainesville dance venue. Come try it all. It's a fundraiser--come support dancing in Gainesville. See all the events at this webpage:

Another plan--
Florida's own English Dance Weekend at the beautiful Historical Kenilworth Lodge in Sebring, October 12 - 14, Sharpes Assembly with Orly Krasner and Full Circle

Make sure you put October 22 on your calendars now!! We are honored that Charlie Dyer will be bringing Colin Hume to call the Monday evening ECD on that date!! Colin Hume, internationally famous choreographer, composer, author, and caller from England, who wrote such favorites as Tango in Toronto, Elizabeth, Mayfair, Felicity... Not only has we written many dances, but he is well known for interpreting and publishing many historical dances as well. Check out his website:
http://www.colinhume.com/ This is definitely a dance not to miss!

Also, the Mayfair Ball is approaching. This is a good opportunity to dance most of the day without having to stay overnight. It is a bargain. There is an afternoon dance as well as an evening ball. What to wear? There is something in your closet that will be fine. And we will be practicing the signature dance, Mayfair, on Mondays. Details:
