Beginner Israeli Dancing Starts Monday July 1, Advanced Contra, No Line Dancing July 4

Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dance Newsletter 2013-06-30

Hello Gainesville Ocala Israeli and Folk Dancers,

Come out this Monday July 1 for the start of a new Beginner Israeli Dancing Series which will run for the rest of this year. Each week for 1 hour from 7 to 8 pm, you will learn a few dances in a teaching session. We will repeat the dances each week and add to them to build up your repertoire. You will learn rhythms, patterns, musicality, balance, connection, posture and following skills which will help all your dancing.

Best time to start is with others starting at the same time. Dance to a higher purpose. Enjoy great music, fun dancing, new friends, Israeli culture and good exercise.

At Congregation B'nai Israel, 3830 NW 16 Blvd, in the large, social hall, with a nice, laminated wood floor.

After teaching, you can stay for dancing from 8 to 9:30 or so. There will be some partner dances, which are really fun. Partners are not required.

The cost will be just $5 per session, $70 for 14 weeks for July, August and September, if paid in advance.

Otherwise, the cost is:
- $8 per week if paid in advance by the month, or
- $10 drop-ins
- $5 full time students
- $3 for spouses
- Kids free
- Free or whatever you can afford for those with financial difficultly

There will be no Senior Line Dancing on July 4. Line Dancing will start again July 11.

There is an Advanced Contra Dance today Sunday June 30 from 4 to 7 pm at the Boltin Center. Next Sunday July 7 is the monthly afternoon Contra Dance.

Happy Dancing,
Andy
