October 14 King Corn Filmaker will Speak at UF tonight

Curt Ellis, Peabody-winning filmmaker who co-created and appeared in the film King Corn (more below), will speak in the Sustainable Food Systems Speaker Series on Thursday, October 14, 6:15 pm, NPB 1001.

King Corn is a documentary about two friends, one acre of corn and the subsidized crop that drives our fast food nation. Curt's work with King Corn has been featured in publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post and Congressional Quarterly, and on NPR, CBS, ABC and CNN. Curt also made The Greening of Southie, telling the story of Boston's first LEED-certified residential green building and the people who made it possible.
