Sept 10 fluoride meeting set

From: Karen Eberly kareber43@yahoo.com

Ironically, the day after I wrote the Aug.31 update, GRU called me to say that the Regional Utilities Committee has put this issue
on their agenda -- for next week!!

So here is that news flash to add:
*************************************************************************************************
Hi Everyone,

The meeting to discuss fluoridation is set for Thursday, Sept.10, at 2:45pm (to around 4:30pm at the latest) in City Hall, Room 16.
(Take the elevator to the basement, make a couple lefts, and there is a small meeting room #16).

This is a small room that can hold 30 people maximum because it is a meeting of the Regional Utilities Committee of the city
commission, which consists of 3 people including the mayor. There is a conference table seating around 14 people, and then chairs
around the room for others. I am allotted 30 minutes to present. I will not be showing the 28-minute DVD since there is online
access to it and most have already seen it. There may be a Health Department representative to present a positive side of fluoride.
There will be comments and questions from the committee, staff, and citizens.

The meeting is open to all, and anyone interested may comment -- but please think first and make it concise.

Thanks,
Karen Eberly

  1. From past experience most of the face to face lobbying is done before the meetings by trusted local dentists to those making the decisions.
The ADA is becoming more proactive in seeking fluoriation ignoring the many documented concerns and rarely even mentioning infant formula or dental fluorisis as anything other then near impossibe to detect in spite of the opposite being true with skyrocketing increases even worse in the balck community with CDC admitting double the ugly moderate and severe over whites. This is negative life changing and decay prone enamel for life. The advise in 1986 and 2006 NRC was this is a medical effect rendering fluoridation illegal.
In 2005 11 EPA unions of professionals asked congress to halt fluoridation and for a goal of ZERO just like other cumulative toxins arsenic and lead. They first called fluoridation a fraud in 1985 after discovering altered data and 90% of the data was ignored to maintain fluoridation. These scientists are the best qualified people to understand whole body cumulative toxic effects as dentists should not comment outside the oral cavity. For some strange reason they often give assurance of total safety and benefit for all not knowing individual dose or prexisiting conditions which seems approaching malpractice.
    My dentist Mayor .
did put a warning in the city newsletter, website and cable TV Bright House public service notice channel that infants should not have formula mixed with fluoridated city water. As with most notices most do not read or get the message. The 1993 Us Tox profile documented many unusually susceptable risk groups but never notified any group after a promise to do so by Charles Fox EPA in 2000 Calvert congressional investigations. In the real world that is slow.
The 12-0 vote of 2006 NRC was 4.0ppm is not protective but after 3 years the EPA has refused to review for the safe number. 11 EPA unions did the research and documentation and if the regulations are followed that number is ZERO. How can that be ignored to say fluoridation is safe below 4.0ppm?
The 1986 review also showed no data proved 2.4ppm safe but in secret that report was rewritten to say 4.0ppm was safe. This is well documented also but ignored to keep fluoridation alive.

  2. Karen, would love to be there but it is a bit of a journey. I always enjoy getting back to town as it has been a long time. Best of luck and hope you get others to come to the meeting. I got Port Orange after 3 years to agree to discuss fluoridation but instead of a open debate they came up with a closed workshop where only pro fluoride dentists and health department were allowed to speak. I was told before the meeting, during the meeting and at the end no others could speak. The commission voted hearing only one side thanking the dentists they would allow fluoridation knowing in though times it would cut their income. Opposite of reality as in my county only 4 dentists out of over 200 currently will treat the poor on medicaid and one public health dentist after many years with none. The health department admitted 45,000 of 50,000 kids under served presently. But nearly all get fluoridation jut not a dentist who cares enough to treat them. This is a shameful comment they seem to ignore. I think it is the big issue. Fluoridation is the smoke and mirrors to fool the public in a game of deception.
Ingested fluorides have no measurable benefits but many negative effects on many risk groups well documented but ignored.
